About Design

Luft Concepts designed the QTRO to bring the functional prowess of the wharncliffe and hawksbill blade shapes into an ideal every day carry design. The QTRO is where form meets function, combining the stylish lines synonymous with Luft designs and the undeniable utility of thinly ground wharncliffe and hawksbill blade shapes. On top of it all the QTRO is fully ambidextrous featuring a reversible milled titanium clip and a smooth bar lock. This is a full sized EDC knife built to work hard and look great while doing it.

Key Features

Dual Blade Shape Functionality

Innovatively combines the classic Hawksbill and Wharncliffe blade shapes, with a thin-grind construction that delivers both precise piercing and smooth slicing performance. Suitable for daily unpacking, food preparation, outdoor emergencies, and other multi-scene uses—one knife meets all EDC needs.
Ergonomic Carbon Fiber or Ti Handle

Crafted with dual-material (Ti or Carbon Fiber/PEI) handle for premium texture and secure grip. Serrated spine boosts utility, paired with a one-piece 3D titanium pocket clip for easy, stable carry—epitomizing high-end EDC handle excellence.

Swift Thumb Deployment & Reliable Crossbar Lock

The ergonomic thumb hole enables instant, smooth blade deployment, while the robust crossbar lock ensures unshakable safety even under high-intensity use—perfectly balancing convenience and reliability for EDC enthusiasts.

Designer Luft Concepts

About Designer

Luft Concepts was born in the summer of 2020 from a shared obsession with knife design, air-cooled Porsches, and the idea that everyday objects should be as beautiful as they are functional. Rooted in the design language of German sports cars, Luft pieces are defined by clean lines, restraint, and purpose; cutlery made for daily use, not display cases.
After five years of refining the catalog and connecting directly with customers through shows and online releases, Ryan Rimmer took full ownership of Luft Concepts in early 2025. The brand is now focused on partnering with manufacturers and licensing original designs to bring well-made, thoughtfully designed knives to a broader audience.

Luft Concepts continues to sell direct, but the long-term vision is simple: remain design-driven, stay true to the ethos, and put a Luft knife into as many hands as possible; tools for people who appreciate form, function, and the stories behind what they carry.
