About Design

Originally released in April 2020 as a frame lock, the K9 has evolved into its final concept with signature handle accents and a wide range of unique material options. Its ergonomic handle‑to‑blade angle delivers full cutting performance when chopping, so your knuckles stay clear of hard surfaces. This versatile EDC blade is built for more than just opening boxes.

Key Features

Full‑Size Utility EDC | Robust Bolster Liner Lock Construction

Built for more than light‑duty tasks, the K9 delivers the size, control, and cutting capability needed for a wide range of everyday use. It features robust bolster liner lock mechanics for dependable lock‑up under heavy‑duty use. At 3.63" blade length and weighing 4.86 oz, it strikes a balanced footprint for daily carry. Ample handle surface area lets the premium handle materials take centre stage visually.

Smooth One‑Hand Deployment | Integrated Carry Features

Boasting dual thumb stubs for intuitive one‑hand opening paired with ceramic bearings, the K9 delivers smooth, rapid blade deployment. Its extended backspacer reinforces structural rigidity and visual flow, with a built‑in lanyard slot offering extra carry versatility while preserving the handle’s clean silhouette.

Signature Sculpted Design by Texas‑Based Keanison Knives

Designed by Texas‑based Keanison Knives, a U.S. knife‑design brand, the K9 carries the designer’s signature visual language. It features an original non‑traditional blade geometry, paired with sculpted handle contours that flow seamlessly with the blade. Moving past standard blade profiles, this EDC folder delivers bold futuristic‑industrial aesthetics alongside ergonomic everyday performance, standing out as an Keanison Knives design

Each knife design they create is unique in its own right, but the K9's shape and usability allow it to stand out in the crowd.
